Because we’ll be limiting the number of attendees to five people (plus Robin, Robin’s studio assistant, and the model for a total of 8 in a well-ventilated space), we’re asking that you sign up ahead of time for each week’s session (see form at bottom of page).
New Rules:
Please wash your hands immediately upon arrival before getting your drawing horse, etc. There are two sinks available.
Please limit gear and keep your things near your space and off of shared countertops. (But of course, feel free to bring your own easel if you prefer this over the shared horses).
You are welcome to wear a mask if you’d like, and bring one for chatting between poses. During breaks, please be conscientious of conversational distance, and if you’d like to get up from your horse/spot, feel free to wander outside for fresh air and space when chatting while the weather’s nice.
We will have air cycling through the studio which means it could be quite warm on summer afternoons as we vent fresh air in from the outside.
Our Short Pose Life Drawing Sessions are held 2-4 pm every Wednesday unless a holiday conflicts. In the case of snow, please check this page for cancellations!
PARKING: This is very important and your assistance is appreciated. Please help us maintain good relations with our neighbors by stacking cars in the long north driveway. If there is no more space there, please utilize parking spots in front of our house before parking elsewhere on the street. Email Robin to join us and receive the address.

Short Pose Figure Drawing All experience levels welcome!
Every Wednesday, 2-4pm in NW Arvada near 80th and Kipling
Drop in donation: $10 (cash only)
From gesture to anatomy, we’ve got it all! Grab your pencils & stretch your drawing muscles and your mind with poses ranging from 1 minute to 20 minutes at my home studio in Arvada. Though I also offer formal figure and portrait drawing classes, this causal, uninstructed short pose session is a chance to relax with fellow artists, music, and talented models (nude) while getting some weekly drawing exercise. Come join us and keep your skills up to par, or practice new ones!
BYO drawing materials (and easel if desired). Ten drawing horses available on a first come, first-served basis.
*Must love dogs! Studio has two canine residents.*
